My guest today is sam bankman free, his problem is this, how do you save the world? i just want to take a minute here and set up this one big idea, this really useful intellectual framework that drives almost everything sam does. It's called expected value. I try to use it a lot because i think it sort of is the default, correct way, in some senses, to calculate something.
