Anti-Chinese Riots in the Caribbean
In 19 38 came more anti chinese riots. Jews, syrians and others too were targeted. This time the outrage was against the relative economic success that these immigrants enjoyed compared to the local people. The whole thing lasted about a week. A delegation of chinese appealed to the chinese embassy for help. They were sent away ty handed and told ain't nothing they can do. It's out of their hands. Now this should all be understood within the context of jamaican history and what was going down in that country during the 19 sixties.
