The book is about the degree of government participation and the like, degree to which we under appreciate that actually. There's this figure in here that around a third of all privately held debt in the united states is backed in some way by the federal government. And then there's also like state and local, like this just federal that we're talking about. So that's bananas. That's fascinating. But this is a sociologist, so this is a totally different world.
