Creating a Persuasive Conversation

I feel if I push harder, the other person is gonna build a fortress around what they believe. So cutting persuasive conversation shorter than I used to has weirdly enough been a very effective way to be influential as opposed to making them carve out their place and then assailing it. And that's a hard thing to do, especially as a public figure because your audience wants you to crucify somebody every single time. You wanna give them a little bit of space to breathe and a little space to grow.
