Mick garrett grits his teeth as he hikes up the vast white expanse of palmer snowfield. The whole climb has been much harder than any one was expecting. Already three students and a parent chaperone have turned back. Their group is down to 16. They're up around 85 hundred feet now, and mick knows the higher they climb, the colder it will get.
