The Distaste for Athletics in the Roman World
There seems to be a big break between jocks and nerds. I'm curious if it had to do with the Romans and their distaste for athletics. They were lower levels of society and slaves were gladiators. The lines are pretty blurred in the modern world, but the most important thing is individual prowess.
