In the first year of belshazzar, king of babylon, daniel had a dream and visions of his head as he lay in his bed. He wrote down the dream and told the sum of the matter. Then king darius wrote to all the peoples, nations and languages that dwell in all the earth, peace be multiplied to you. I make a decree that in all my royal dominion, men may tremble and fear before the god of daniel. For he is the living god, enduring forever.
