The Importance of Public Education in Religious Education
One of the big hurdles that I've noticed to get people to care about this is helping them understand why queer, trans, and non-binary people are at religious educational institution. Oftentimes, parents have already paid for them to go there. There's a lot of things kind of aligned for that person to be there. And then the other part is protecting and empowering these students in those spaces to build coalitions, to build communities locally on campus.
