The multiplayer battle royal game first came out on pc, play station four and x box one in september 20 seventeenth. It became extremely popular to watch on twitch, and as a result, turned certain streamers, such as ninga doctor, lupo and myth into super stars. As of november 20, seventeenth, fortnight already had 20 million players. By june the following year, there were over a hundred and 25 million. And in may 2020, the game's official twitter account posted that there were 350 million registered players. There are actually two other game modes, fortnight save the worl, a co operative tower defence shooter and survival game,
