How Long Should You Keep Tax-Related Documents?

The tax year will end on the April 5th, 2018. The suggestion is that you should keep any tax-related documents for this year 22 months after the end of the tax year. In other words, January 31st, 2020. It's a year after you'll have to pay the tax basically on this tax year. You might want to keep certain things like your P60 that you get at theend of the year if you're employed or drawing from a pension. If it's an annual insurance, like car or house insurance, you need to keep the policy document for the year. And even then, I keep it in digital form, but we'll come back to that in
