The Rift - A Review
This premiered at Midnight Madness in Toronto, and then subsequently was at Sitchez. A group of Crims are being extradited from Philippines to South Korea on a huge cargo ship. Special agents are on board the ship to ensure that the prisoners don't have any chance of breaking out. They do break out - but it's something far more sinister than just hardened crims. It's basically criminals on a boat meets universal soldier or connair. There's loads and loads of squishy death, face ripping, limb loping. Sounds like fun except by the hundredth squib, it's hard to have any kind of emotional reaction.
