The Secret to a Great Deep Reading Programme

We typically burn ourselves out with unrealistic expectations. A good deep reading programme is meant to help us combat all of this. I rather like structuring a year with a big read and then having smaller works scaffolded around that big read. So one can have a big read over the course of a month or two, and alongside that they read a handful of really resonant plays,. some great short stories, some great poems, maybe a novella, maybe some nonfiction.
