i remember my most infamous interviews with the comedian mark maren yeah who just didn't like me very much and didn't like my questioning. i'm not there to facilitate you telling jokes i'm trying to find out who you are so a number of his anecdotes i kind of gave the punchline away because i was much more interested in the story that got to the punchline. He's gone well there you go you've just given away the end of that and i'm like that's not what I'm trying to do here right? And he tried to smooth it out afterwards by saying  "I wasn't here to kind of attack you we totally misunderstood each other". It went south
