The Struggle Between Ego and Insecurity in Film Composers
There's no guarantee of whether it's going to work or not. There's a lot of ego which you need to have because you have to be believing your ideas. And, you know, I've certainly been on both ends where I'm replaced with somebody else's score. It's so fascinating to me because it's really like, where does the point of creation begin? Because you are on this film and they give you this theme and all this criteria, but they're hiring Marco because they believe that he can lead the film in his own way.
