How to Spot a Thought

The first thing I'm going to say is not easy. Changing thought patterns, changing these habits that we've had our whole lives is really hard. So just trust me that the first step is just to notice. All sorts of thoughts fly into our heads all the time. We don't have to listen to them. This podcast is thinking about how just because our brain is offered as a thought, we don't need to spend loads of time on it. And so we're going to think about all those things. But at the moment, just trying to get in the habit of noticing when you do these things and noticing when you're not being compassionate.
