Sorkin delivers the goods in potent fashion and manages the nifty trick of making the audience feel as though it has experienced something considerably more sobering and profound than it really is. But guys like Jessup just don't do what he did in real life. He eats popcorn that has been sitting out on an open bar table. Drinks Jack Daniels and he touches every single donut on that office tray. Takes one, takes a single bite of it and then throws out the rest.
