There's just a level of engagement on the sides of an issue is so different. I see this around the dangers from AI where people who think AI is going to be really dangerous tend to be really fervent about it and will engage a lot. People who are like, AI is not that dangerous are not that engaged. And they don't seem as well thought out,. But it just means that it's harder to get the best arguments on that side of the issue. Yeah, I feel the same thing with chat GPT that there's an imbalance in sides, which makes me feel like I can't accurately accept.

What is the New Enlightenment? What might it mean to improve our epistemics with regard to institutions? How should we fix imbalanced salience in contexts where misinformation is a problem (like news media)? How have the economics of institutions deteriorated? How can we continually reinvigorate systems so that they remain ungameable and resistant to runaway feedback loops? What is the "dismissal" economy? How can we deal with information overload? How might the adversarial economic model be used to improve academia?
