Israel has been doing in its own backyard for years and many of those Israeli companies that have profited from that since 9-11 the spyware companies are some of the more well known. The wars in Iraq and Afghanistan were a disaster which they clearly were for the peoples of those countries but I often say in response but disasters for whom the American defense industries did remarkably well  in the last 20 years private mercenary companies did remarkably well in the past 20 years, says Peter Bergen.
