The China Factor in the Trilateral Relationship

When things get bad with North Korea, it is sort of an accelerant to better trilateral cooperation. I think the US and Japan are a lot more comfortable about placing China at the center of their broader approach to alliance cooperation. But we'll have to see what actually comes out of the summit. Well, we will be watching very closely.
