The Greeks Are a Prechristian People
The romantics saw the greeks as a pre christian people, who importantly, were cheerful because they had not yet been stained by things like christian guilt. This is a prechristionera, so they don't know shame. They're innocent. It's before the a man gains a knowledge of good and evil, right? And so they're just living this idyllic simplicity. And so it's naturally cheerful. Now, two somenicians might hear that, say, what's wrong with this view? And we'll see what'swrong with that view of inice's assessment as we continue.
