The Importance of Neuroscience in Learning
I think neuroscience is a key part of our scientific progress and scientific understanding but it mainly in my view helps us to get at the why and how behind or underlying effective learning strategies. I myself don't see any important lessons coming from neuroscience that can be directly applied within the classroom. While there's obviously a neural basis to every effective learning strategy it's not necessary for a learner to know about the neural mechanisms in order to effectively apply these strategies so we know from scientific data that certain strategies are effective and that should be enough for effective implementation.
