The Importance of Attention in Beauty
Beauty is as you said always experiential and therefore it arises between a subject and object. We can't produce beauty or at least we can't produce the same type of beauty. As for whether it's about man-made things in a certain sense no not only but I do think that beauty ultimately derives from how pleasure and pain are first social they are about attachment and separation in early life.
