The Stereotype of Smooth Jazz
I've always liked jazz and I was very upset to hear a podcaster that I respect greatly, dissing a type of jazz. Smooth jazz is known in the music industry as not very skillful. Often smooth jazz is the sort of thing you might hear in an elevator or like having a drink in a bar with some little saxophones and trumpets going away in the background. You're not really paying attention, it's just nonsense in the Background. Do you know what I mean? It's a stereotype that's so true even to this day but I love a bit of lifting.
