The Lord's Judgment on Nineveh
The final two verses of the chapter present us with a mocking dirge for assyria and its rulers. The nobles here being described like shepherds slumber while their people are scattered in an unguarded flock. They have been intoxicated by the wine of the lord's judgment. There's no recovery from it. And do not fear those who kill the body, but cannot kill the soul. Rather, fear him who can destroy both soul and body. In hell are not two sparrows sold for a penny, and not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your father"
