Daily Notes in Obsidian - Is That a Form of Journaling?

Daily notes are a form of digital journaling where you have a note per day. I get so much more value out of it by not just putting the quote in, but talking about what it means to me. The other things I have on here at the top is just kind of like tone setting stuff. It's the progression of time. This is kind of based off of that book, 4000 Weeks by Oliver Berkman.
