Microsof - Is Microsot Embracing This Model?

Microsof used to have marketing personas of the developers who use their software. They were called einstein, elvis and mort right? The thing i didn't like is it separated people into hierarchies. It appears to be a bid by developers to rid themselves of the capacity for rational thought in favor of tribal identification with corporate brands and rock styrs.
