Is There a World Without Hydrocarbon Dependence?

Economics is based on scarcity. If what you're saying is we're going for a world of scarcity, making choices under conditions of scarcity, we're going to a world of abundance. That's one way of looking at it. You put those three together, ubiquitous energy, ubiquitous connectivity and ubiquitous resources that totally changes what the world's going to look like 10 years from now in a very positive way. So I'm not sure, but maybe that kills capitalism. We end up with something else. All of our current fears will begin to subside as we realize technological innovation actually fixes a lot of things.
