GitHub Actions - What's the Story Behind the Acquisition?

The remaining founder at GitHub wasn't really involved in the company. He had already announced that he was transitioning out looking for a new CEO. And I can't say when Chris decided that he was going to take one of the acquisition offers, but I knew within the first four months that we were going to get several in the first couple weeks. It was obvious given the partnerships that we were doing. When we privately showed that to Amazon, Microsoft, Google, you can see they finally go, GitHub knows its value. Now it does. If we don't do something, somebody else will. Therefore, we can't let this in continue and dependent anymore.
