The Origins of the Simulation Theory in France
Bodger: I was definitely kind of struck by the connection that so much of the early post modernism had in France. Baudrillard's simulation theory is that there is no more real beneath the spectacle, everything's unmoored and ungrounded. Bodger: Once you kind of like crack it, it's really specifically would focus on science fiction as the jiren. JG Ballard's sci-fi style of fiction captured the world just better than a formal philosophy or theory can do.
