The Three Most Prominent Generals

Xenophon gives a little epitaph on the three most prominent generals. This is really rare in ancient history and I think it's probably rare in history in general, where you have someone who is a direct participant in leadership of a great expedition or a plan. And they give an objective and well written description of the character of the other leaders involved. So anyway, I'll read here. Cliarchus was condemned to death by the authorities at Sparta on the ground of disobedience to orders. Being now in exile, he came to Cyrus, and the arguments whereby he persuaded Cyrus are recorded elsewhere.
