An entire spin was made of the green revolution. And chemicals were pushed on countries like mine. The soil gets killed because soil is living. You put a war chemical on soil. The organisms die. But because the organisms are what make soil alive, they also create the aeration in the soil. One percent organic matter in soil can hold 160,000 liters of water. When there's no living organisms in the soil, you have no water capacity. That's why industrial agriculture is so water intensive. Ten times more water to produce the same amount of food. So the groundwater starts to run dry. Your dams are bigger and bigger, but look at Lake Mead, it's drying up
