Austin Belsack: Building relationships in your network is the most effective way to accelerate anything that you want to do. He says when people go out there and they try to connect with the right people, they do it the wrong way. The best analogy he has for this is viewing your relationships like a social bank account.
Austin shares a new way to think about networking. You wouldn’t try to withdraw money from your bank account until after you make a deposit, so why are you asking for a favor from a stranger before providing some value to them?
