The Labour Party's Fascination With Steve Anichwoman
The Essex man is the profile often ascribed to Margaret Thatcher. The idea was that Thatcher was able to reach out to some of those more traditional Labour voters through policy offers. Under Tony Blair, it was the Mondeo man. It wasn't about saying we are going out and specifically trying to persuade theMondeo man to vote for us. But I think something that Blair wanted from the mondeo man was to use it to articulate a particular vision about what he wanted the Labour Party to stand for.
