Introduction

The FTC has filed a lawsuit against Amazon for allegedly tricking customers into signing up to its Prime service. The agency claims that the website design makes it difficult for people to opt out of auto renewals, which would negatively affect Amazon's bottom line. This is the third lawsuit from the FTC involving Amazon in basically the same amount of weeks. They've paid recently 25 million for privacy laws about kids recordings on the Alexa. And recently there was also 6 million to resolve claims that Ring had given its staff access to customer videos - all covered as well.
