How Does Infrastructure Really Benefit Development?
Vietnam has a power deficit of between 10 and 30 billion dollars. That's an amazing power deficit for one country. And again, Vietnam is a manufacturing hub now, but they need more power in order to fulfill that that dream. The second thing is that they have a difficulty in countries like this of processing large amounts of capital that come in to build that. So even if there were people lined up saying, I'm ready to give you 10 billion dollars to build a railway or to build the power or to build your infrastructure the system simply can't handle that kind of money.
