What's the Worst Case Scenario for Medi?

In an active SETI scenario, you have a potentially monopolistic situation of who is sending the message. Theoretically, if you're going through even a global coalition, what about the nation states that don't agree with the outcome? And so I guess I could see it. You kind of put that to the side. But do you see a messaging scenario as to be a more likely competitive or antagonistic situation than just a passive SETI? Yeah, I think so. It has a lot to unpack with Medi and sending signals out. If this thing is a thousand light years away, there's going to be a lot of messages in that in a light travel time.
