The Titanic's Flood Damage
A protruding fragment of ice ripped a hole through the Titanic's hull. Five of the ship's compartments had already begun to flood, and Captain Smith said the ship was going to sink unquestionably. But not only did the captain's navigation attempt not work, it made things worse. Even the smallest gas caused these terrible results.
