The Earth Wind and Fire Cover of Didn't Run
The song is in the key of g major. The earth one and fire cover elaborates on the original in pretty much every way that you can. It adds new harmonic ideas, new rhythmic ideas and new ideas to the arrangement. On this track, there're some great horn parts for them over an alma mater part. There's a guitar solo at one point where somebody who takes their time with it might be johnny graham or maurice bayley.

On the second edition of "Strong Covers," we're digging into covers of three Beatles classics: Earth, Wind & Fire's maximalist remake of "Gotta Get You Into My Life," Ray Charles' saucy reimagining of "Eleanor Rigby," and Bobby McFerrin's delicate recitation of "Blackbird." Come for the English-accented rhyme schemes, stay for the impeccable voice leading.
