There's different ways of justifying the idea that there are once and for all objectively true moral standards. I'm not going to go through all the different ways to do that and sort of argue against all of them. But it's very common that you really just want to be able to say not simply that you think that was wrong, what you just did, but that it is objectively wrong. It's the same kind of impulse that people have about aesthetics.
