Are We Looking at a Recall of the 1930s?
A lot of people are talking about the 1930s. They're saying that the Great Depression in 29 was exacerbated by protectionist measures, by beggar, by neighbour, economics. We've seen those kinds of policies reemerge in the last period between America and Europe,. During the Trump years, between America and China. So, what are the implications of this rise of protectionism and end of globalization? Are we looking at a repeat of the 1930s? I think just like in the 1930s, you could see this rise of Protectionism which is arising because of the logic of the crisis itself.
