The New Covenant: A New Heart and a New Community
When we talk about the new covenant, we people frequently talk about the forgiveness of sin. But they forget the fact that God promises to give us a new heart and change our fundamental desires. We're given a new community, which changes our understanding of what is honor and shame because honor and shame are very communally oriented.
