Thessalonians Correspondence on the Day of the Lord

In saying this, Paul is following the teaching of Jesus as given in the Olivet Discourse. That is to say, Paul takes the day of the Lord to be the day of Christ's return. It will be on that day that Christ returns, the dead are raised, and particularly the wicked or the unrighteous dead are judged.
