The God of the World, the God of God, the Father of the World, the Son of God

God so loved the world that he gave his son. We simply cannot ever forget in our theology that god stands over against us, including the judgment that we deserve. And therefore, we need to think of christ's ongoing intercession not as a set of prayers that jesus offers up because he knows his father is more bad tempered than him. That's not it. This is a way of saying, the resurrected christ, the god man, with the scars of the wound still in his hands and his feet an his side, making an implicit intercession for ever and ever and ever.
