Christian Nationalism and the Coming Elections

One of the forces driving this anti-China fervor in the United States is Christian nationalism. Steve Bannon spoke to a meeting of multi-millionaires at the Vatican being held under the auspices of Cardinal Burke, who has been trying to overthrow Pope Francis. One of the core beliefs of the Bannon-esque Christian nationalists is this mythic, apocalyptic even war against China. And that's helping, I think, create the kind of fervor in Congress because nobody wants to look weak on China.
