The Fed's Not Paying Attention to the Markets, Is That Really the Case?
There seems to be a belief in markets that the fed is going to recognize the slowdown that we're seeing in some of the data and respond by pausing, by not raising rates as much. That seems to be opposite the rhetoric from fed officials. The experience that people have had with the fed fort last 20 years or so will not particularly help them guide the fed because it's different. We've got 19 late seventies, early 80 style inflation.
