What's the Problem With the Book of Mormon?
The initial revelation makes no mention of a small plate but it does talk about how he's going to translate from the unabridged plates. Joseph Smith controls all this and so you're kind of looking at his fingerprints throughout it where he's saying okay well now I need to add this element to make it work. The problem is as he adds elements they contradict each other and they don't line up with what he previously stated.
