Dr. Laura Anderson, therapist, speaker and author of the new book When Religion Hurts You: Healing from Religious Trauma and the Impact of High-Control Religion, sits down with Tim to discuss her book. Dr. Anderson explains her background and why she wrote her book. Tim and Dr. Anderson break down over-used psychological terms and how they should really be applied. They also discuss the difference between spiritual abuse and adverse religious events. Lastly, they discuss what factors create high-control religion and the tools to process the ramifications of that environment.
