The Intimacy of Suffering With Jesus and Mary
According to Maria of a grader and other mystics, she received this special participation during the passion. She asked for the grace to experience desolation spiritual and emotional desolation with him physically. For me personally, it's so important to meet her at the foot of the cross. And there's an intimacy there because there's a deep intimacy when our wounds meet Jesus's wounds on the cross.
