The Difference Between Place and Environment in UX
UX is 100% about designing digital environments because it's about figuring out what are those things that make up these environments and how do they relate to each other within the context of that given problem domain. So we could even call it place oriented UX or environment or in UX. But just a quick question so because words are important, I often use place and environment interchangeably.
