The Importance of Expectations in Family Dynamics
There's something there about family dynamics. And the expectations, right, of behavior, of the expectations of what men ought to do and ought to be responsible for. So and with women, it's usually around children. There's a story about Jehanette Vaudier, who is pregnant but fears they can't support another child. She drops her baby into a well while waiting for one of her sisters; then she insists that she didn't. Not meeting adequate expectations is so destructive, which resonates.
